Bob McCallum

The entire CASC-OR community is saddened at the news of the passing of Bob McCallum on Sunday, November 25 after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Bob was a competitor in the legendary Shoppers World / Bulova Formula Ford series before (in typical fashion) deciding he could build a better one and creating the race winning Tsunami Formula Ford in the 1980's.

Bob went on to serve his fellow competitors as a member of BEMC and at the time of his passing was the club's president (and its longest serving president as well).

Bob was also an integral part of the CASC-OR Race Committee where he was appreciated for his analytical view of things and respectful way of working with his fellow committee members. He was also seen at many CASC-OR race events working as a scrutineer, a role perfectly suited to his talents.

Bob will be sadly missed by the race community in Ontario, but never forgotten.

CASC-OR sends our deepest condolences to his wife Anne and their daughter Amy at this difficult time.

Service arrangements are available through the Barnes Memorial Funeral Home at this link.

Godspeed, racer.
