CASC-OR Announces 2018 PIRELLI Tire GT Sprints and GT Challenge Championships

How does it work?

1)  To be eligible for PIRELLI Tire championship points you must register for the series. The form is available on the CASC-OR web site.

To be eligible for the year-end prize funds you must also compete in a minimum of 3 (three) championship weekends or score more than 120 points by the end of the season.

Your race vehicle must display sponsorship logos as shown on the 2018 SPONSOR & SERIES DECAL PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS FORM.

2) You must compete on PIRELLI tires unless you have a tire size waiver.

What is a tire size waiver?  If PIRELLI does not make the size you need for your car, you are still eligible for points and prize money.  The waiver has to be issued by CASC-OR before you start your first event.

3) As news of this Championship is late in coming – competitors who register for the PIRELLI Championship on or before May 16, 2018, will have until July 8 to change over to PIRELLI Tires.

Your accumulated points up to that date will be valid for the year-end championship prize funds if you use PIRELLI Tires after that date.

If you register after May 16, 2018, only points accumulated after that date will count towards the championship and points fund.

The year-end prize fund will be as follows:

4) Competitors who do not participate in the PIRELLI Tire Championship may still enter the weekend races and are eligible to win weekend trophies and score “Guest” Championship points.  No prize fund is available for the “Guest” Championship at year end.

5) A complete rule package / update of the CASC-OR Race Regulations will be available on the CASC-OR web site by May 18, 2018.
