The 2016 Race Season Is About To Start

race director / Tag: Road Racing, frontpage

Just a reminder that the first event of the 2016 Regional Road Season is next weekend, May 14-15 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Once again BEMC, the British Empire Motor Club, will host the Spring Trophy Races.  Every regional series will be running – GT Sprints, GT Challenge (on Sunday), Radical Cup Canada, Millers Oils F1200 Championship, Toyo Tires Formula 1600 Championship, Formula Libre, and a Sportsman’s grid for VARAC (combining VH and Classic cars under 2500 pounds).

You can register for the BEMC event using this link to MotorsportReg

We have a number of promotional programs running this year that should help your racing budget:

100 Reasons to Race – every competitor that runs (and pays) for a full weekend entry at the Spring Trophy Races using either a CASC or ASN licence will receive an e- voucher good for $100 off the full weekend entry fee for either the Kyle Nash Memorial races at Calabogie Motorsports Park June 4 – 5, or the BARC Canadian Touring Trophy event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park July 30-31.

$150 Double Down Entry – this year the cost of entering either a second car or the same car on a second grid has been reduced to $150.  That means for $650 you can have 200 minutes of track time per weekend.  If you share a car that means the cost to each driver would only be $325.  This is an incredible deal – we hope you take advantage of it.  If you combine it with, the 100 Reasons to Race Program then 200 minutes of track time will only cost you $550 – what a deal!

Returning Racer Program – competitors that haven’t run at a CASC-OR regional road racing event in the last 2 years, but have run with us in 3 years prior to that, are being invited to come back and try us again.  The entry fee for one weekend is only $100.  The entry includes a 1 weekend club membership, as well as a 1 weekend CASC licence.  If you or someone you know wants to know if they are eligible for this program have them contact me directly.  We’re hoping anyone that returns for one weekend will “catch the bug” and come back for a second, then a third…  You get the idea.

We hope you’ll choose to join – it promises to be an exciting season.  You don’t want to miss it!
